Minutes Of 15 May 2017
Randy Bañez (President/Board), Mark Smith (Vice President/Board) Mike Bridges (Treasurer/Board/ACC Chairman), and Stan Mayra (Board) were present. David Riley (Association Accountant), and Kay Waitman (Secretary/Board Member) were absent.
Deanne Tuckerman and Candice Haywood represented Ben Marsh & Associates Inc.
Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 6:37PM.
Quorum was established with 4 out of 5 Board members present.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the 24 April 2017 Board Meeting were reviewed. Mike Bridges moved to approve the minutes with a correction made to the 4thline of the Management Report. Mark Smith seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There were no financials to review.
Bañez Brothers have all the gravel off they lawn and will start mowing around the 3rdof June.
Be Happy Home Care gave a bid of $500.00 to remove all the dead fall etc. from Admiralty Bay and Bayshore. Mike walked the property and is also having them remove all the branches etc. they were stored behind the Bayshore sign. Mike will email approval to Be Happy Home Care.
Architectural Committee Report (ACC):
Mike Bridges has approved tree removal for 10000 Eshamy Bay, new roof for 2911 Rock Bay, new paint for 10101 Eshamy Bay, tree removal along the drive of 10141 Eshamy Bay, and new paint and new back deck for 3005 Bettles Bay. Management was notified of a leaning fence at 3011 Admiralty Bay. Management will send out the spring reminder letter to the owner.
Mike Bridges reported the dumpsters were being abused, billed up by commercial mowing services. He asked the question how long would we wanted to keep the dumpsters out for others use. After some discussion it was decided that the dumpsters were a nice service to offer and would be continued. Stan Mayra asked if the pickup days could be changed? After some discussion, it was decided to have the dumpsters picked up Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. Management will call Alaska Waste and change the pick-up days.
Candice Haywood looked into the Facebook page and found that the admins are Mike Bridges, Jenna Futrell, and Candice Haywood. Candice suggested consolidating the Association’s web presence by making use of management’s website and the Facebook page. This would allow management to better keep up with the posting of documents. The board will discuss this over the next month and make a decision at the June meeting.
There is some discussion as to whether there will be a picnic this year. Kay Waitman and Kirsten Taylor were the picnic committee last year. Randy Bañez will email Kay Waitman and ask her if she is interested in hosting the picnic this year. The board decided the date would be 25 June if there is to be a picnic. Management was asked to reserve the picnic shelter at KFQD Park for 25 June from 11:00 AM to 3:00PM with Parks and Rec.
Hearing no further business Randy Bañez motioned that the meeting be adjourned. Mike Bridges seconded the motion. Motion Carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:28PM.
