Minutes of 21 July 2014

Attendees:  

Yannick Hodgin (President), Ginger Scoggin (Secretary), Mike Bridges ( Board Member/ACC Chairman), Randy Bañez (Treasurer), David Riley ( Accountant), and Matthew Banez of  Bañez Brothers Lawn Care were present.

Candice Haywood represented Ben Marsh & Associates Inc.

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 6:34 PM.

Quorum:

Quorum was established with 4 out of 5 Board members present.

Approval of Minutes:  

The minutes of the 19 May 2014 meeting were reviewed.  Mike Bridges moved to approve the minutes.  Randy Baez seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

.Homeowner Concern:

A homeowner sent an email to Management requesting information about having speed bumps installed due to problems with speeders in the neighborhood. Two board members spoke with the owner explained that speed bumps are not an option at this time. The owner was given a slow-down sign.

Financial Report:

David Riley presented the financial report. All dues are paid current and the budget is on track for the year.  Mike Bridges moved to approve the financial report. Ginger Scoggin seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Grounds Report:

Mike Bridges moved that Cheryl Stewart be reimbursed for the mulch she purchased for the area surrounding the sign.  Bañez Brothers Lawn Care will be removing the vetch vine from the areas around the signs.         

Architectural Committee Report (ACC):

The composite roof that an owner requested the Board look into has been investigated and the ACC does not recommend approving it for use in the neighborhood.

Many of the lawns in the neighborhood have an overgrowth of dandelions and clover which creates a nuisance to surrounding neighbors. Management is asked to take note of these lawns and send the owners letters requesting that they apply weed killer to their lawns and keep the weeds under control.

Welcoming Committee:

There are currently five new owners who will be receiving baskets.

Old Business:

House Rules: Postponed until the next meeting.

Interest Rate & Late Fees: Postponed until the next meeting.

 New Business:

Mike Bridges proposes that a few more slow down signs be purchased for the neighborhood. Yannick will look into the purchase of more signs.

Next Meeting:

The next meeting will be Monday, August 18, 2014 at 6:30 PM.
